For us, the artist of the year is undoubtedly Bilal Hamdad !
With an exhibition (from October 17, 2025 to February 8, 2026) at the Petit Palais in Paris, the artist presents stunning canvases within the museum's permanent collection, creating a dialogue between different eras, colors, reflections, and references.

From photographs taken on the spot, he creates canvases of striking naturalism: street scenes, portraits. His work is in constant dialogue with the great masters of the past. Rubens, Caravage, Velázquez, but also Degas, Manet, Courbet or Hopper, from whom he draws inspiration for his practice.

Alongside this event, the Goya Museum in Castres presents an exhibition (from October 18, 2025 to March 8, 2026) featuring two artists in residence at the Casa de Velázquez in Madrid: Francis Harburger & Bilal Hamdad. Separated by a century of history but presented together, their paintings bear witness to the influence of the great Spanish masters and the Hispanic culture they discovered during their time in Madrid.
Don't miss it, it's simply breathtaking!

We are very pleased that we can see his work in the two places where we have a foothold: the Tarn and Paris!
