Embossed leather, known as Cordovan leather, from the Tassin Tannery in Paris. Historically, Cordovan leathers originate from a technique imported by the Moors during the Caliphate of Cordoba. After being pre-moistened, the leather is embossed in a press between a plate and a counter-plate. It is then hand-colored, offering endless possibilities for monochrome, two-tone, or polychrome decoration. Finally, a patina is applied for a unique and luxurious finish.

-
GUSTAVE MAURICE 's leather origami . A feat: How to achieve such simplicity with such technical skill?

-
To a lesser extent, and because this product was dear to our hearts, the Bandit Manchot valet trays. We had been trying for years to create products in Molded leather , according to a technique that has almost disappeared in France. To obtain these objects, the hide is thoroughly wetted , then stretched tightly over its mold. It is then dried, removed from the mold, and trimmed.
