Who is Bandit Manchot?
Bandit Manchot is first and foremost a meeting between Anne and Marie Christine, stylists, and Marie Laure, a leather goods maker. The first two, passionate about fashion and already highly aware of upcycling, collected, stored, and categorized tons of post-collection leather throughout their collaborations. When Marie Laure announced the closure of her workshop, they didn't hesitate and embarked on the adventure of benevolent entrepreneurship. It was 2010, and Bandit Manchot was born.
What is the brand's concept?
The three creators, passionate about style and leather, made a sad observation. All luxury houses buy exceptional leathers used to design prototypes or pre-collections, but these are not then retained during their production. Thus wasted.
They then began to imagine collections of accessories for women and men from all the batches of upcycled leathers they acquired... Giving a new life to these sublime forgotten materials is not enough! There was no question of sacrificing the ethics they naturally imposed on themselves when creating the brand. All production will be entirely carried out in short circuits in France. A manufacturing workshop was established in Graulhet in the Tarn region with the aim of creating a team of local artisans.
Each model is produced in small series (conditioned by the availability of upcycled leather), which gives Bandit Manchot a highly personalized artisanal production, a trend increasingly favored by consumers.
What is the role of each associate?
At the color piano, Anne works on the ranges, colors her inspirations, anticipates upcoming trends, and smells the air of the times. She also stages new products, creates ambiances, and coordinates all communications. Alongside her, Marie Christine develops collections, structures the brand's offering, creates prototypes while managing the company. As for Marie Laure, she coordinates artisans from different trades, handles production, and supports the brand's commercial development...
Anne, Marie Christine, and Marie Laure. Three women, three destinies, one common determination. To create and produce different fashion, differently.
